HISTORY

1960s David Cecil Mills discovers polymer with particularly high co-efficient friction. First non-slip products are manufactured.

1966 Dycem Plastics Ltd officially established

1974 Dycem launches its first range of contamination control mats in response to the expansion of clean rooms.

1977 Dycem changes its name to Dycem Limited and formalises the two separate divisions.

1984 Dycem began to operate its own office and warehouse in the USA in order to provide   an ex-stock delivery service to our local distributors.

1993 Dycem was awarded ISO 9002 (BS 5750) certification, reinforcing our commitment to excellence, our continued innovation in product development and our support for the distributors and representatives who promote the Dycem name on every continent.

1998 Dycem revamps its range of Dycem Bottle and Jar Openers. Taking all of the strain out of opening and tightening jar lid and especially valuable for people suffering from arthritis or with reduced hand or wrist strength, the bottle and jar openers are two of Dycem’s most popular non-slip products.

2002 Dycem awarded the new ISO standard for its ongoing commitment to continuous improvement of customer satisfaction.

2004 Dycem launches the Dycem Silver non-slip range from its unique non-slip material in order to solve many of the stabilisation and gripping problems encountered by those with limited dexterity, restricted mobility and reduced wrist or upper limb strength.

2005 Dycem unveils a fresh new corporate identity designed to reposition the company and to reflect its ongoing commitment and focus within a specialist marketplace.

2006 Dycem launches its first forensic range of high performance print lifters. The unique heat stability of Dycem polymeric composition allows for use in hot conditions, whilst a low tack layer enables traces to be lifted from almost every surface including porous material such as paper and cardboard.

2007 Dycem launches its new web site. Split into the business' 3 component parts the site has been designed to meet your needs, making it quicker and easier to learn about and purchase Dycem products. We also have launched a basic version of our forensics site.

PRESENT the company’s products are sold globally in more than 50 countries to many of the world's leading corporations through a network of specialist distributors and dealers.
